I’m Gary Eason. I am essentially retired now – most recently from running my Flight Artworks aviation digital art business.
I was making those images from 2011 to 2022, when a decision to start winding things down was accelerated dramatically by a serious leg injury which put me out of action for months. So that was that.
You can however still buy prints as explained on my website. And I am still happy to license images if you contact me (for websites, magazines, books or whatever), with many available via my gallery on the Alamy agency.
I am just not creating them any longer. While I was doing so, this blog was a way of sharing the often fascinating stories about how and why they came to be made. Most often that was as a result of commissions by publishers, editors or private individuals. It is a source of great satisfaction that people around the world have pictures that I made for them, marking significant episodes in their own or their relatives’ lives.
I hope you’ll enjoy browsing through those stories.
